Position Overview
We currently have an opening for an Electrical/Power Engineer. This position works in conjunction with the Power Engineering team to design and support new and existing uninterruptible power supplies and peripheral devices. This includes the design and modification of supporting firmware, troubleshooting of new and existing hardware, development of technical documentation, and providing support for the mechanical team for wiring diagrams and component selection.

Position Requirements/Tasks
- Assist in the development and troubleshooting of electronic devices, circuitry, and wiring schematics for both power and mechanical departments.
- Interpret electrical schematics and PCB fabrication files for troubleshooting and repair of new and existing products.
- Work in conjunction with the Chief Technical Officer to design firmware for the required and optimized operation of microcontrollers, ICs, and peripheral devices.
- Develop and maintain methods of data communication between products.
- Perform research and development for the enhancement or redesign of current and legacy products to increase functionality or to correct known issues.
- Maintain source code for all versions of firmware.
- Maintain the equipment calibration schedule for all engineering and production test equipment.
- Write technical documents pertaining to the testing and user operation of production products.
- Provide technical support to mechanical and maintenance team for wiring diagrams, component selection, or equipment repair.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with at least 4 years practical experience.
- Advanced knowledge of C-programming language and data communication protocols.
- Experience with troubleshooting tools such as digital multi-meters, power analyzers, oscilloscopes, and programmable AC power sources.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ESD and safety skills when working with high voltage and open-frame electronics.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
