Latin America Sales Manager

Position Overview
We are a well-established and growing telecommunications manufacturing company located in the United States. We specialize in fiber optic connectivity products and enclosures. Our products are approved in multiple telecommunication markets throughout Latin America, and we are looking to expand.
The Sales Manager will perform selling to customers in the field and will be responsible for increasing the footprint of the company and increasing margins by calling on and building relationships. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing a network with an assigned group of accounts, and must possess a strong technical background in the fiber optic and telecommunication industries.
The successful candidate must also possess established relationships within the CATV, telecom, wireless, fiber network operators, and contractors environment. The successful candidate will also have strong business acumen, exceptional analytical skills, top-notch customer service skills, and good salesmanship.

Position Requirements/Tasks
- Qualifies accounts by determining market potential.
- Calls on accounts and solicits business
- Increases sales and margins to new and existing customers
- Resolves customer problems
- Identifies buying influences
- Makes regularly scheduled visits with each account
- Develops long-term relationships and influences buying decisions
- Provides quotes either directly or in conjunction with the sales team
- Demonstrates products and services to customers
- Provides feedback to branch management on market levels, products to stock, etc.
- Increases account penetration
- Conducts training
- Works trade show booths
- Utilizes sales management tools for sales planning and documenting opportunities
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong technical background in fiber optic and CATV industry
- Ability to persuade others
- Ability to clearly and effectively set goals
- Computer literacy
- Fluent in Spanish (must be able to read, write, and speak Spanish, and comprehend spoken Spanish)
- Proven track record of success in business-to-business sales
- 3-5 years' experience in outside sales industry, 5-10 years is preferred
- Must know how to utilize social media to make and maintain contacts in the industry
- High school diploma or equivalent is required, Bachelor's or Master's is preferred
- C-level contacts within the industry is preferred.
