We have an immediate opening for a Picker/Packer in our Cable Warehouse Department. This position is responsible for preparing product to ship per customer's request. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS -Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1-60+ lbs frequently. -Squat, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently. -Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day. -Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time. WORK SITE ENVIRONMENT -Must be able to comfortably work in a 55-85 degree Fahrenheit environment. Position Requirements/Tasks

• Pull correct product from the shelf for orders.
• Assemble and check product by labeling, packing, counting, and sealing finished goods for stock/orders to be shipped.
• Use wrapper for preparing skid orders to ship.
• Report and document basic material, production, and quality control issues.
• Must be willing to learn and operate other equipment including drill presses and a band or table saw.
• Read blueprints to ascertain correct specifications and perform in-process inspections.
• Safely move material using a forklift and/or pallet jack.
• Clean and maintain an orderly work area using the 5S procedure set up.
• Assist other individuals in the area when needed.
• Communicate effectively with others.
• Promote teamwork.
• Adhere to company policies, process, and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent may be required.
• Tow motor experience highly preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints and tape measure.
• Understand and support company policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate a safety-conscious behavior.
• Excellent attendance record.
