Breaking Ground with New Vaults

Pedestals and vaults serve two primary functions — protecting valuable equipment from costly damage and offering the technician flexibility with repairs and installation. Since equipment protection is vital, companies must choose reliable, highly-durable products that withstand the harshest operating environments. Multilink offers various solutions that meet the needs of nearly any telecommunications application.

Types of Pedestals and Vaults We Offer

Telecom enclosures like pedestals and vaults make up essential parts of the network. They protect valuable equipment from harm and give field technicians easy access to cables. Because these structures play a critical role in operations, you must choose a durable design that meets your company's needs.

At Multilink, we supply telecommunications companies with outstanding outdoor vaults and pedestals. To help solve unique challenges, we offer these structures in multiple sizes and styles and have custom-design options available.

Modular Vault

Our durable, Modular Vaults offer extensive space to house your below-grade equipment. The Multilink Modular Vault is designed with flexibility in mind. Constructed to suit the location's needs, the vault is expandable by width, length and depth.

An optional diamond plate steel lid — designed to accommodate your specific hole pattern and base size — is available as an optional lid/cover.

Additional features and benefits of our Modular Vaults include:

  • Durability: We manufacture these vaults using durable, ultraviolet (UV) and weather-resistant plastic with maximum performance as the driving factor. Their superior strength and durability deliver lasting protection for your valuable equipment.
  • Adaptability: We offer multiple sizes with interlocking and expandable sections. These options allow the flexibility of various dimensions for the enclosure depending on the need.
  • Locking ability: The outer-cavity design locks the vault in the ground upon successful installation. In addition, an optional steel plate allows the vault to provide cable storage under cabinets.
  • Light Duty Rated

Composilite Vault

This durable vault has spacious room to house below-grade equipment. This Composilite Vault is designed for strength, durability and easy shipping. The vault is manufactured using innovative composite material that provides a nearly indestructible product. The four sides are shipped flat with a fast-clip connecting kit to reduce the shipping footprint and cost. Vault cover is equipped with lift eyes for removal with lift hooks.

The Multilink Composilite Vault is designed for a Tier 22 rating which makes this a viable solution for all your needs.

Additional features and benefits of the Multilink Composilite Vaults include:

  • Strength & Durability: Multilink’s Composilite Vault has been manufactured to lead the industry in performance. Its strength and durability provide long-lasting protection for your equipment.
  • UV Stabilized Plastic: Made from a durable UV weather-resistant plastic.
  • Security: Cavity outside design locks vault in the ground when installed.
  • Tier 22 Rated: The vault is rated to safely handle up to 33500 pounds of heavy traffic in parking lots and off-roadway locations.
  • Below-grade Access: Can be used under cabinets for cable storage with optional steel plate Metal Diamond Plate – 24" x 36". (Other sizes available with cabinet mounting and access cutout.)

Pedestals

As the industry's first fiber-specific devices, our pedestal models are ideal for residential or MDU applications. The multilink fiber pedestal serves as an above-grade alternative to house and protect fiber terminations. Although this pedestal is simple, it provides an effective mounting post to place your equipment.

With easy installation, these pedestals offer excellent protection for your multiple spanning trees (MST), fiber tap or other equipment. The Multilink Pedestals feature a high-density polyethylene dome that protects against what Mother Nature may throw at it. The Multilink Fiber Splice Terminal (FST) may be added as an option.

We offer pedestal designs with 7/16 hex095 pattern or 146 P-Key pattern locks. The resistant seals protect from potential hazards like rodents, damaging debris and extreme weather. Our pedestals offer easy access to repair or maintenance crews while providing bury lines on the base for accurate depth.

Specific features and benefits include:

  • High durability in harsh operating conditions.
  • Multi-lock security options.
  • Fast and easy installation.
  • 100% American construction.
  • A universal post for multiple vault mount options.
  • Shapes and styles that blend with a home's architecture.

Dimensional options encompass:

  • Above grade: 11.8 inches wide by 24 inches high by 11.5 inches deep
  • Below grade: 13.9 inches wide by 12 inches high by 13.6 inches deep
  • Interior: 9.1 inches wide by 9.48 inches deep

Our telecom pedestals and vaults provide protection, flexibility, and durability. Networks rely on this dependability. For more information explore our Pedestal and Vaults section at gomultilink.com.
