A Sno-Shoe is an industry-approved fiber optic slack storage method. The unit is called "Sno-Shoe" because of its snowshoe shape. Excess fiber optic cable wraps around this unit, which holds the cable securely in place. The Multilink Plastic Sno-Shoe® is designed for these purposes:

  • Adjustable Sno-Shoe: Our Adjustable Sno-Shoe™ is a flexible slack storage option, with closed, extended and fully open positions. With these options, this Sno-Shoe can hold more cable. The 10-inch Sno-Shoe can hold 60 cable fibers, the 16-inch Sno-Shoe can hold 216 cable fibers, and the 24-inch Sno-Shoe can hold all cable fibers.


We also have Sno-Shoe accessories, including extension and stacking kits, mounting brackets and slack storage boxes. These accessories allow you to store multiple spools or increase the amount of cable you can store on a single spool.
